Directions to the Pitch

The clubhouse and its two pitches sit in a hollow off Reservoir Road, a little under a mile north of the town center in Hanover, New Hampshire. For years this page has been the most-linked corner of the club's web presence — because visiting teams, referees, and supporters all needed to find their way to a field tucked into the woods.

The setting rewards the drive. The main competition pitch lies in a natural amphitheater, framed by a golf course to the west and stands of hardwood forest on two sides, with Balch Hill rising to the east. Once you crest the final hill on Route 10, the clubhouse is visible in the middle of the fields on your right.

From the North (Vermont & the Upper Connecticut Valley)

Take I-91 South to Exit 13 (Norwich / Hanover) and turn toward Hanover. Cross the river bridge and climb the long hill — this is West Wheelock Street. Continue through the light past Main Street and take your first left at the far side of the town green onto Route 10 North. Stay on Route 10 for about a mile and a half until you come up another big hill; the golf course is on your left and the fields open on your right. Take a right onto Reservoir Road at the roundabout, then your first right into the parking lot.

From Southern New York, Western Massachusetts & Connecticut

Follow I-91 North to Exit 13 and turn toward Hanover. Cross the bridge, climb West Wheelock Street, pass Main Street, and bear left at the green onto Route 10 North. Continue about a mile and a half to the roundabout, turn right onto Reservoir Road, then right again into the lot.

From Upstate New York

Take Route 4 across Vermont to I-89 South, then I-91 North to Exit 13 and follow the Route 10 North directions above.

From Southern New Hampshire & Eastern New England

Take I-89 North to Exit 18 (Route 120, Lebanon / Hanover). Keep right at the fork, merge onto Route 120, and continue roughly three and a half miles through several lights toward Hanover. Continue straight onto South Park Street near the local food co-op, pass through the blinking light and the next light, then turn right at the T-intersection onto Route 10 North. Continue about three-quarters of a mile — past the driving range on your right and the golf course on your left — to the roundabout. Take a right onto Reservoir Road and your first right into the lot.

Getting Around the Upper Valley

The region straddles the New Hampshire–Vermont border along the Connecticut River. Regional travel information and road conditions are published by the state's visitor resources, and interstate conditions by the New England 511 travel service. Match days in autumn can coincide with peak leaf-peeping traffic, so allow extra time on Route 10.
